Barite

Barite or barytine is a chemical compound whose chemical formula is barium sulfate and is composed of barium, sulfur and oxygen elements. The specific gravity of barite is 4.5, which is a strange case for a non-metallic mineral, and it is very easy to recognize this material because there are few non-metallic minerals with a weight higher than 4.

Barite exists in nature in three forms: veins, layers and deposits. Its vein type arises from the formation of thermal and magmatic solutions in faults and fractures. The layered and sedimentary type of barite is related to masiosulfide deposits and is mostly found in volcanic environments. and finally; The remaining barite deposits are obtained by weathering the surface of barite rocks and its remaining due to its high weight and high chemical resistance.
